All guestrooms at the Alexander Inn have private baths, are decorated the same, and have the same amenities: touchtone telephones with voice mail and data ports, remote color televisions with Direct TV and four complimentary movie channels, ironing boards and irons, art deco furnishings, windows that open, in-room safes, access to WiFi, and electronic key card entry.
All rates include daily expanded Continental Breakfast Buffet in our Great Room off the Main Lobby. Breakfast is available Mondays through Friday from 7:00 AM through 10:30 AM. The breakfast is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM through 12:00 Noon. We invite our guests to utilize the Great Room afternoons and evenings as a comfortable living room for reading or conversation.
The Inn also offers a 24-hour fitness room. In the fitness room is a computer station offering high speed internet access.
Room charges are taxable by 7% state sales tax plus 8.5% local occupancy tax (total 15.5%).
In order to enjoy tax-exemption status, you must provide a copy of your current State of Pennsylvania Tax Exemption Certificate. Tax exemption cannot be extended if guests pay with personal funding sources. For tax exemption, room charges would need to be placed on a Master Account and settled with organizational funding sources.
Reservations will be made by your guests on an individual call-in basis. Your guests will need to identify themselves as a participant in the Trans Health Conference. At the time of reservation your guests will give us their room type preference, individual address and telephone number, and their own credit card number to guarantee the reservation. The Alexander Inn does not accept non-guaranteed reservations. A valid credit card and photo identification are required for check-in at the Inn.

Your block of guestrooms will be held until 30 days prior to arrival at which time any unreserved rooms will be released to public sale. Reservation requests made by members of your group after the cut-off date will be quoted published rates based upon availability.
Cancellation of individual reservations in your block will be accepted with no financial liability until 3:00 PM on the day prior to scheduled arrival. Should any of your guests cancel after this time, the cancellation fee will be one night’s room and tax.
The Inn has a negotiated agreement with the Parkway Indoor Garage at 1201 Walnut Street. Current overnight (24 hours) rate is $15.00 with no in-and-out privileges. These rates are subject to change without notice.
We suggest that your guests that are driving to the Inn do the following:
Pull into one of our loading/unloading spaces immediately across from the Inn’s entrance as marked by a yellow curb.
- Put hazard lights on.
- Come into the Inn with luggage to register.
- Obtain a map to the parking garage from the desk agent.
- After registering, self park car, and walk back two blocks to the Inn.
