General Purpose Bus Lines

  • Megabus - Except for one NYC line, the Megabus bus stop is across the street from 30th St (train) Station. See "By train" for details on transit to the conference venue from 30th St Station.
  • Greyhound - The Greyhound bus station (1001 Filbert Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107) is only 3 blocks from the conference venue.
  • Peter Pan - Operates via the Greyhound bus station (1001 Filbert Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107), which is only 3 blocks from the conference venue.

Bus Lines with Limited direct routes through Philadelphia

  • Bolt Bus (via New York City, NY) - The Bolt bus stop is across the street from 30th St (train) Station. See "By train" for details on transit to the conference venue from 30th St Station.
  • New Century Travel (via New York City, NY, Washington DC, Richmond, VA) - The New Century bus stop is at 55 N 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, which is just 2 blocks from the conference venue.
  • Apex Bus (via New York City, NY, Washington DC) - The main Apex bus stop (1015 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107) is only 2 blocks from the conference venue. Apex also operates to a couple of other locations in town.

 


By Car

Parking information

When planning travel by car, it is important to consider parking rates in Center City, Philadelphia, PA -- which can cost $20-$30 per day.

Vehicles can be left at the official Philadelphia Airport economy parking for $11 per day. You would then need to arrange ground transportation to Center City (see "By Plane" for details). Other airport parking services are also available with even lower daily rates.

Note: Valet service means their driver will drop you at the airport. Self-parking means a free shuttle from the lot to the airport is available. You would then need to arrange ground transportation from the airport to Center City (see "By Plane" for details).

From From Rte 76 (Schuylkill)

Take Rte 76 to Exit 344/I-676 East. Take I- 676 East and exit at Broad Street/Rte. 611 (2nd exit). You will be on Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center to 12th Street (4 traffic lights). Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.

From From Interstate 95 North

Take I-95 North to Exit 22 Central Philadelphia / I- 676. Stay in the left lane of this exit. Follow signs for I-676 West to the 1st exit (Broad Street). This exit brings you up to 15th Street. Get into left lane and follow the sign for 611/Broad Street and make a left turn on to Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.

From Interstate 95 South

Take I-95 South to Exit 22 Central Philadelphia/I- 676. Stay in the left lane of this exit. Follow signs for 676 West to the 1st exit (Broad Street). This exit brings you up to 15th Street. Get into the left lane, follow the sign for 611/Broad Street and make a left turn on to Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Make a right on to 12th Street. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike

Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 20/I-476. Take I-476 South to Exit 57/I-76 Philadelphia. Stay on I-76 East for approximately 12 miles to Exit 344/I-676 East. Take I- 676 East and exit at Broad Street/Rte. 611 (2nd exit). You will be on Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center to 12th Street (4 traffic lights). Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.

From the New Jersey Turnpike

Take NJ Turnpike to exit 4 (Philadelphia / Camden Exit). Take Rte. 73 North and follow it to Rte. 38 West. Take 38 West to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, crossing into Philadelphia. Follow local traffic and the signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Go approximately 6 blocks and make a left turn onto 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.

Arriving via Philadelphia International Airport

Take I-95 North to Exit 22 Central Philadelphia / I- 676. Stay in the left lane of this exit. Follow signs for I-676 West to the 1st exit (Broad Street). This exit brings you up to 15th Street. By Plane

Philadelphia International Airport: There are 31 airlines serving the newly renovated Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) with 1,500 daily inbound flights. U.S. Airways and Southwest are among the largest carriers: 1-800-PHL-GATE, 215-937-6800.

Upon arrival at the Philadelphia airport, you would need to arrange for ground transportation to Center City.

  • Taxi cab - There is a cab stand at each terminal of the airport. Fares to Center City are regulated at a $28.50 per ride flat fee (one-way).
  • SEPTA regional rail - The airport line (train) runs from each terminal every half-hour and stops at Market East (1 block from conference venue). The fare from the airport to the Market East station is $7.
  • Shuttles - Lady Liberty provides a shared-ride service to Center City at rate of $10 per person. Your hotel may also provide a shuttle.
  • Car Service - Please refer to the ground transportation link above for personalized car service from the airport.

 


By Train

Amtrak Rail Transportation: Amtrak operates trains from 30th Street Station, with service along the Northeast Corridor and points west and south. For schedules, fare and other information: 1-800-USA-RAIL. From 30th St Station, you would need to arrange ground transportation to the conference venue -- typically by SEPTA regional rail or by taxi cab though bus or subway could be considered.

  • There is a taxi cab stand outside 30th St Station. The ride is about 18 blocks, but would be metered.
  • SEPTA regional rail trains run frequently between 30th St Station and Market East. Conductors do not check for tickets between 30th St Station and Market East on regional rail.

Septa Regional Rail: All regional rail lines run through Market East (1 block from the conference venue). 215-580-7800.

  • Take any Regional Rail line into Market east and then:
  • 1. Head east on Market St. towards 12th st.
  • 2. Turn right at N. 12th St. - The convention center will be on your left.

PATCO provides rail access into Center City Philadelphia from points in Southern New Jersey (a.k.a. South Jersey). PATCO connects to NJ Transit. Arriving: Exit PATCO at 8th and Market. Walk 4 blocks to 12th Street. Turn right and walk north on 12th. The convention center entrance will be on the left.
